Meet our teachers

Yousef Hidarinia

Throwing wheel / Hand building

French & English

Yousef grew up surrounded by rugged landscapes that shaped his connection to the natural world. His interest for form, space and texture first led him to study interior design, then photography and the culinary world. Eventually, he found his way back to the most primal and grounding material - clay - through the study of the throwing wheel.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in creating a nurturing and supportive environment where students can grow and develop their skills at their own pace.

My approach focuses on guiding students step by step, ensuring they build a strong foundation in techniques while also encouraging exploration and personal expression to help each student find their unique voice in the world of ceramic.

Jessica Chetrit

Hand building / Sculpture

French

From a young age, Jessica developed a passion for the practice of the arts. She draws, paints and models clay. After studying graphic design and 10 years in the profession, she decided to realize her childhood dream of becoming a ceramist.

In 2016, she began training as a modeling teacher with Natasha Mercier, whom she assists during her classes for children. Since then, Jessica has been giving modelling/sculpture classes in various workshops in Paris and Brussels.

In her personal practice, she creates art objects sold in boutiques and galleries and collaborates with interior designers. Her creations are raw, strongly inspired by architecture and graphic design.

Cassie Byrne

Throwing wheel / Hand building

English & French

Cassie, the artist behind Luli Studio, brings a relaxed and approachable vibe to her pottery practice.

With a passion for both the creative process and helping others connect with their own artistic potential, she believes in making pottery accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Cassie’s hands-on experience, combined with her easy-going nature, ensures each student feels comfortable and inspired to explore their skills in a supportive environment.

Maïté Dague Brown

Hand building / Throwing wheel

French & English

Maïté started ceramics in England ten years ago and trained in different workshops. She is also holder of the "CAP tournage en céramique".

Under her potter's name Mutai Ceramics, she explores fun, beautiful tableware on the wheel and in hand building.

In her hand building courses, she introduces three techniques: pinching, slabs and coils.

She will be happy to suggest project ideas, while also accompanying students in their personal projects, always with her good humour and smile.
